Join Watercolor Artist, Sharla Sevy, as she shares tips and techniques for painting white flowers that are anything but white! Participants will learn to maximize the use of the white of the paper, holding it for the brightest whites, while applying subtle temperature changes to emulate the shadows and folds within each petal to create colorful “white flowers.”
Participants should bring their watercolor palette, brushes, and 1/4 sheet of 140lb Cold Press watercolor paper, stretched and adhered to a rigid surface (board). Alternatively, a 10×14 r 12×16 Cold Press Watercolor Block can be used. Scraps of watercolor paper are helpful to practice techniques and test colors.
