Required Art Supplies
For this workshop, the essential supplies include:
- Old Magazines & Books: These can be used for pages or decorative elements.
- Junk Mail: Any colorful flyers, postcards, or envelopes that can be upcycled.
- Cereal Boxes & Food Packaging: For durable and creative journal covers.
- Scissors: To cut materials to the desired shapes and sizes. Slide cutters are great too.
- Glue: Strong adhesive or Mod Podge is essential for sticking papers and embellishments together.
- Acrylic matte medium: gel preferred but the more liquid is good too.
- Decorative Supplies: Stickers, stamps, fabric scraps, or any embellishments you wish to add to your journal.
- Papers for Extra Pages: This can include scrapbooking paper or recycled paper if you need additional sheets for your journal.
- Large sewing needle: if you have one, bring it. Otherwise there will be a few to share.
- Bits of fabric, lace or trims. Doilies, paper or thread.
Feel free to bring any special materials you might want to incorporate into your journal. Remember: Everything is an art supply until proven otherwise.
